2001年考研英语大作文（爱心是一盏灯）

画面内容：油灯上面的火焰是一个孩子的微笑，在黑暗中发出明亮的光芒，上面还有一句提示语“爱心是一盏灯，在越黑暗的地方越明亮。”(还是找不到图）

Directions:

　　Among all the worthy feelings of mankind, love is probably the noblest, but everyone has his/her own understanding of it. There has been a discussion recently on the issue in a newspaper. Write an essay to the newspaper to

　　1) show your understanding of the symbolic meaning of the picture below,

　　2) give a specific example, and

　　3) give your suggestion as to the best way to show love. You should write about 200 words on ANSWER SHEET 2.

     Love is of utmost importance to us. Everybody not only needs love, but also should give others love.As is shown in the picture, love is a lamp which is brighter in darker places,the daker the place is, the more precious the light will be. It surely means that the man who in darker places need more light than others.

    As an example of the power of love,we should remember how the chinese people respond to the earthquake happened in Sichuan province. Millions of people gave freely in response to the appeal.Although their incomes are still low by internastional standards. Many stars lent their own names to the efforts to raise money to help the earthquake victims.

Some people to help the victims by donate blood or offer goods.They do this with no thought of gain for themselves.

    In my opinion, the best way to show love is to give love to the most needed people. We should always be ready to give a helping hand to those who are in trouble,just like passing a glass of water to a thirsty person. In this way,we can help to make the word a better place,and that is why we say love is like a lamp which will enlighten our life in the future.

假设你是李华，在得知四川大地震的消息之后,你决定给灾区的中学生写一封慰问信。

Dear friends,

I’m sorry to hear that your hometoen Sichuan province suffered a horrible and severe earthquake. The calamity has made sixty thousand people lost their lives.Faced with such a rarely disaster, you remain so calm and strong-willed that I’m moved to tears.

Our whole nation is a big family, every member would like to give a helping hand. So I make a donation of 100 yuan to you, expecting that it can help you go through the difficulty.

        I believe, with the help from all of us,we will over come the damage of the earthquake and face the beautiful future!

这是我在网上找的题目，我写得不是很规范，觉得内容不够充实，而且好多都是参考了别人的句子，如果有一天能不参考别人的，自己写出一篇很不错的文章来就好了！

北京2008奥运会会徽

2.Tell the meaning of the picture.

The emblem’s name is “Chinese Seal—Dancing Beijing”. It  has a single Chinese character on the traditional Chinese seal,likes a running people which is similar to “Jing”, means “capital”. The words “Beijing 2008” are written with a Chinese brush below it.

　　The image carries the message that today’s China is not only a nation with a long and glorious history, but also one full of modern dynamics. (这段是引用的，应为实在不知道怎样过渡)

Dancing Beijing is a symbol of the city’s promise to make the Games a success .Seal is chinese tradition culture artistic form ,represent the honesty and trust.It implied that Beijing will holding the most outstanding one Olympic Games in history.

Dancing Beijing is the color of China. Red is the most significant color in Chinese culture. It means luck, celebration and new beginnings,which looks beauty and deep import.

　  Dancing Beijing is an invitation, a hand extended in welcome to people from the world. They are a gesture of friendship and hope that the community of nations will unite in peace through sport.

Dancing Beijing represents the spirit of the individual. Tt’s a symbal of Olympic spirit “Faster,Higher and Stronger”to every athlete. The dancing person  in seal couples with hardness and softness , the image is friendly, have been full of dynamic feeling while containing Chinese culture.

北京2008年奥运会会徽不久前刚刚推出，“中国印·舞动的北京”具有如下特点：

1．会徽设计将中国特色、北京特点和奥林匹克运动元素巧妙结合。
“中国印·舞动的北京”以印章作为主体表现形式，将中国传统的印章和书法等艺术形式与运动特征结合起来，经过艺术手法夸张变形，巧妙地幻化成一个向前奔跑、舞动着迎接胜利的运动人形。人的造型同时形似现代“京”字的神韵，蕴含浓重的中国韵味。该作品传达和代表了四层信息和涵义：
（1）中国文化。以中国传统文化符号－印章（肖形印）作为标志主体图案的表现形式，印章早在四、五千年前就已在中国出现，是渊源深远的中国传统文化艺术形式，并且至今仍是一种广泛使用的社会诚信表现形式，寓意北京将实现“举办历史上最出色的一届奥运会”的庄严承诺。
（2） 红色。选用中国传统喜庆颜色—红色作为主体图案基准颜色。红色历来被认为是中国的代表性颜色，还是我国国旗的颜色，代表着伟大的中华人民共和国，因此，标志的主体颜色为红色，具有代表国家、代表喜庆、代表传统文化的特点。
（3）中国北京，欢迎世界各地的朋友。作品代表着北京正以改革开放的姿态欢迎世界各地运动员和人民欢聚北京，生动的表达出北京欢迎八方宾客的热情与真诚，传递出奥林匹克的理念和精神。作品内涵丰富，表明中国北京张开双臂欢迎世界各地人民的姿态。
（4）冲刺极限，创造辉煌，弘扬“更快，更高，更强”的奥林匹克精神。现代奥林匹克运动一直强调以运动员为核心，会徽“中国印?舞动的北京”正体现了这一原则。印章中的运动人形刚柔并济，形象友善，在蕴含中国文化的同时，充满了动感。

2．会徽的字体设计采用了中国毛笔字汉简的风格，设计独特。
会徽作品“中国印·舞动的北京”的字体采用了汉简（汉代竹简文字）的风格，将汉简中的笔划和韵味有机的融入到“BEIJING 2008”字体之中，自然、简洁、流畅，与会徽图形和奥运五环浑然一体,字体不仅符合市场开发目的，同时与标志主体图案风格相协调，避免了未来在整体标志注册与标准字体注册中因使用现成字体而可能出现的仿冒侵权法律纠纷。

3．会徽总体结构与独立结构比例协调。
经过专家反复推敲、修改，“中国印·舞动的北京”中作为主体的中国印、“汉简体”“Beijing 2008”和奥运五环三部分之间在布局以及比例关系方面特别是中国印部分，已近完美。与此同时，每一部分独立使用时依然比例合理，不失协调。

考研英语写作一般有大作文和小作文，小作文要求100字左右，写的是邀请函，辞职信之类的应用文体，大作文一般是图表作文，给个图或表之类的（一般是关于社会上的热点问题）让你描述内容，并发表自己的看法，200字左右。

考研英语写作原则：一 语言是第一要素，特别而是第一段，语言要吸引人，给阅卷老师一个好印象，并且避免以下几点错误：①主谓一致②时态③冠词用法④名词单复数⑤搭配问题⑥单词拼写 二 结构要清晰。一般采用三段式，开头引出话题，评价现状或描述图表3—4句完成；中间拓展短要阐明图表，图表寓意并分析原因背景等，7—8句可以了；结论段不止下结论，还要提出2—3点建议，5—6句不算多。下面是2008年的大小作文及范文。

大作文：图画作文中场景是：两个独腿的人在相互配合下前进。它反映的主题是社会的一个时髦话题—“合作”，或者“团队精神”。（对不起，暂时还找不到图）

　　Cooperation

　　If we want to complete our work effectively and efficiently in this busy, modern world, we must all learn to cooperate with others. As the cartoon shows, if we lose our partner, then we will fail as well.

　　This lesson in cooperation may seem rather simple, as most people are taught that they should cooperate when they are children in school. However, many people still make the mistake by the men in the picture: they believe others must fail for their own success. Supposing that a company leader assigns two workers to do a project together, and both of them impatiently are waiting for a promotion. The two believe they must beat their “enemy” to win the promotion. To achieve this they may do things to make their partner in unfavorable position, such as interrupting their work whenever they can. In the end, without realizing it, they have ruined their own project, too. So, for our common benefit, we ought to be cooperative. Additionally, cooperation can save us a lot of time and energy if each person handles the tasks that they do best.

　　It can be difficult to be cooperative with someone you dislike. In such a situation, just sit calmly and clear your mind for a minute. Focus on your work, instead of your partner. Perhaps in working together with him, you’ll learn that he is a really nice person. Even if this doesn’t happen, it’s still worth a try.

小作文：今年应用文考的是普通的道歉信，考试中考的是李明回国不小心带走了房东Bob的音乐CD而道歉。

Dear Bob

I have just come back and to my surprise, I have found a music CD borrowed from you in my luggage. I am writing the letter in purpose of apologizing for my inability to return it to you.

There are, to my mind, several urgent measures might be taken to solve the problem. On one hand, I could deliver the CD with express mail and approximately, four days later, you would receive it. On the other hand, I would like to pay for it provided that you might agree with the idea. Once again, I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hope you can accept my apologies and send me a reply at your earliest convenience. My appreciation to you for your prompt attention is beyond words.
